Molly Williams
Molly Williams

My name is Molly Williams and I would like to tell you a little about myself and the way I practice medicine. I graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ohio State University in 1992. After practicing two years in Ohio, my husband and I decided to move to Oregon (the state both my parents grew up in and where many of my relatives remain). So we packed up the dog (Rudy) and cat(T) in a U-Haul van and set out for Oregon where we've remained. We now have three little girls and T, sadly our Rudy has passed away. Since we've had children I've chosen to work part times so I can enjoy the precious lives of my girls, but my enthusiasm for small animal medicine remains high.

Like all veterinarians I was trained in Western medicine and techniques. I have seen great benefits from traditional medicine but also side effects and limitations. Over the past year I have begun to explore(in great depth)alternative medicine and techniques. Currently I am enrolled in the Animal Natural Health Care course in Veterinary Homeopathy taught by Richard Pitcarin, DVM (author of Complete Guide to Natural Health Care for Dogs and Cats, a book I highly recommend!) and am practicing homeopathy for clients who have an interest. I am scheduled to take a course in Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation (a way to diagnose and treat a wide variety of lameness and nerve problems caused by vertebral subluxations) in August (www.votec.com).

Nutrition is also of interest to me and I am hearing reports of the benefits of raw meat diets for dogs and cats.

My goal as your veterinarian is to work with you to help find the right medical treatment for your family. I've seen benefits from alternative techniques and am very excited to offer them to you. I can offer advice and my humble opinion, but ultimately, it is your decision how to treat your beloved companion.

Currently I'm at Hayden Meadows Pet Clinic on Monday and Thursday from 8:30am-1:00pm.

Please call me anytime to ask questions or discuss your pet's health. If you leave me a message I'll get back to you on my next day in the office.

Thank you for loving your pet, they are wonderful gifts.
